Montalto is a privately owned estate nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the County Down countryside. A delightful place with offerings of afternoon tea, a woodland trail, wedding venue hire and beautiful gardens to explore and enjoy.
Montalto Estate’s landscape and architecture required a sympathetic approach to signage and wayfinding that would complement its surroundings, reflect the brand and build on its vision for the future. By combining rustic Oak with powdercoated metal panels, we were able to blend the scheme into the landscape and faithfully adhere to the brand guidelines, colours and fonts.
Our approach
The scheme included welcome signage and badging signs aimed at pedestrian and vehicle traffic, wayfinding ladder signs, fingerposts and waymarking posts, all designed to greet and orientate visitors. Additional signage included health and safety notices, speed restrictions and parking enforcement, intended to control visitor behaviour and protect the public.
Over 140 signs were manufactured and delivered to the Estate in Northern Ireland, helping visitors navigate the formal gardens, woodland walks, adventure play area, historic house and leisure facilities.
