Brief
East Herts Council were looking to continue the excellent quality of signage and wayfinding that had been implemented in other sites throughout the Borough. This required the design of a scheme that offered value for money, but was uniquely customised to reflect the character and identity of Post Wood and Presdales Recreation Ground.
Our approach
Our design team put forward concept designs for our interpretation panels or information boards welcome signs and wayfinding that drew from our tried and tested standard product range, but with details that made them unique to Post Wood and Presdales.
Our illustrators prepared engaging watercolour illustrations highlighting the flora and fauna to be found throughout the woodland and park, and detailed orientation maps guide visitors along designated walks.
All signs were manufactured from hard wearing Oak and included full colour n-viro™ prints for maximum lightfastness and vandal resistance. Finished signs included welcome and orientation signs from our Bowman™ Range, lecterns from our Woodsman™ Range and rustic oak waymarking posts.
