About
Worth Park is situated in the affluent town of Crawley, West Sussex. The park dates back to Anglo-Saxon times and was once part of Worth Forest, where it was used as a hunting ground. The park extends to eight hectares, including a lake area and formal gardens. In 2016, the park benefitted from a major restoration project funded by the Heritage Lottery, returning it to it’s former glory.
In developing a sympathetic signage and wayfinding scheme, we take influence from the many facets a site has to offer. Architecture, landscaping, history and heritage all play a role in determining the most appropriate style and finish.
Our approach
Worth Park is an excellent example of how standard products can be enhanced through good design, heritage colours and period fonts, to create a finished solution that is engaging and accessible, and complements the re-modelled landscape from a bygone era.
Our designs included a colourful 3D map to aid orientation and a suite of interpretation displays to encourage residents and visitors to learn more of the fascinating heritage of Worth Park.
