Some projects leave a lasting impression and our recent sign installation in Whitstable, Kent, is one that will stay with us for years to come.
As part of the Fitzpatrick Woolmer Community Impact Programme, we recently manufactured and installed a new community noticeboard to help visitors find the Revival Café and Mental Health Hub, along with the Revival Right to Grow Community Garden. The initiative is run by Mind in Bexley and East Kent and provides a welcoming space where local people can access support and connect with others.
The noticeboard itself reflects our commitment to sustainability. Manufactured from recycled materials and built for longevity, it demonstrates our belief that well-designed infrastructure should continue serving communities for many years to come.
While installing the noticeboard, our Director, Mark Woolmer, met Graham, who shared his deeply personal journey of rebuilding his life with the support of the Revival Café and the community garden.
By volunteering in the newly created garden, Graham has found purpose, routine and hope. His story is a powerful reminder that places like the Revival cafe and Right to Grow Garden provide far more than practical support; they offer connection, belonging and a chance to move forward.
Reflecting on the experience, Mark said:
“I was fortunate enough to meet Graham through our Community Impact Programme, and the few hours I spent with him, learning about his story, reminded me of the amazing job our clients do in supporting mental health, protecting wildlife and preserving our heritage.
“I am forever humbled by the dedicated, selfless work of our clients and feel fortunate to have created a business that, in some small way, contributes to supporting people, wildlife and place.”
Projects like this remind us that even something as simple as a sign can have a meaningful impact. By making important community spaces easier to find, we hope more people will discover the support available at the Revival Cafe and the positive difference it continues to make in people’s lives.
